Serving our Seniors Christmas Basket Collections

Did you know there are many seniors in our area that have no children or family to help them? Serving our Seniors (SOS) is trying to fill the gap for those seniors and others.

Christmas time is a lonely time for some. SOS Holiday Outreach program needs your help to reduce isolation and provide Christmas for these seniors. Good Shepherd Outreach Services is collecting food and other items to create baskets to deliver to SOS clients.

There are many ways you can get involved!

• Bring a completed basket or some of the items needed before or after any Mass on the weekend of December 6 & 7
• Click the Registration button to help sort donated items and create baskets on December 10
• Click the Registration butto to help deliver the baskets to seniors on December 13

Cans (Clients like pull tops, low sodium is preferred)

• Tuna or Chicken
• Beans
• Vegetables
• Fruit
• Tomato Sauce or Diced Tomatoes
• Soups

Boxes

• Potatoes or Stuffing Mix
• Macaroni and Cheese
• Breakfast Bars
• Hot Cereal (e.g. Oatmeal)
• Crackers
• Graham Crackers
• Vanilla Wafers
• Jell-O or Pudding (ready to eat)

Household Products

• Stamps
• Band-Aids
• Paper Towels
• Tissues
• Laundry Soap
• Liquid Dishwashing Soap
